There are three features that under line the design of this "Epoch making Expedition's" Symbol.The chequered flag, with seven Red and eight White squares, the unequal number of squares denotes the element of chance. That governs any game, sport or expedition. The flag is the Symbol for keeping the spirit of the game of expedition alive.
"CACE" the abbriviation for Central Asia Cultural Expedition in lower case in Persian and Arabic calligraphic style is the reminiscent of central Asian culture, specially deisgned in lower case, showing the low profile with high spirits swash in "e" represents adventure, the composition of letters "cace" represents caravan.
Camels the ship of the desert the symbol of ruggedness, strength, courage and patience, ready to face any unhospitable terrin and weather, the two human figures shows the cooperation of the animal with human kind-even in adverse circumstance long shadows depicts natures manifestation, the universal truth that every thing exists in opposition.
Where there is light there is darkness.

The Symbol for NDMC
Designed in circular form showing continuity the process of cause and effect which is never ending-civic demand and its fulfilment.Divided by two white streaks sculpting the circular form into massive tree trunk and two identical and similar forms of leaves on either side.
The trunk denotes the silhouette of the very building in which the offices of the N.D.M.C. are housed the central body. The structure is symbolic of `Progress, Stength, Stability and Confidence all these achieved through sincere and hard work as a motto in Devnagri "Je ,oa t;rs" depicts. The letters NDMC in Roman Style delineate the entrance to the building.
The horizontal line beneath the NDMC letters signifies step to the building.
The two similar and identical leaf like forms on either side show the Growth and Harmony between the two elements Man and Nature and Ecological Equilibrium.
The Symbol for Seventh Non-Aligned Summit - 1983
There are three features that underline the design of this symbol. The five leaves of Peepal tree, the number 7 forming the stem or trunk & the dove.The five leaves of Peepal which is considered to be an auspicious tree in India, have a symbolic reference to auspiciousness of the Summit for achievement of perfection, as also to the Panchsheel—the five principles of peaceful co-existance between nations, recognised internationally. They also represent the five continents of the World signifying global character of the Non-Aligned movement. The similarity of the World signifying global character of the Non-Aligned movement. The similarity of each leaf in size and shape stands for equality of nations and for the affinity which exists amongst nations by way of most common element they all represent i.e. the people, the human being.
The ordinal number 7 forms the stem or trunk of the tree as well as denotes the order of sequence of this Summit. It also hints at what has been the most common meeting place for people in the Orient. The concept of organised meeting of the people originated in Village Panchayats, which in variably has been conducted under a tree, so to say, in the absence of a conference hall since time immemorial. Gautam, the Buddha—the apostle of peace attained Parinirvana or the spiritual enlightenment under the tree.
In the heart of the Symbol is the image of dove, signifyign that at the core of the proceedings of the Summit is the message of Peace.
